What the Lake Does to an RV

Hartwell covers about 56,000 acres with 962 miles of shoreline, and the campgrounds run on a hard seasonal rhythm. Some parks close for the winter. Others, like Watsadler, stay open year-round. That pattern drives most of our lake calls:

  • Opening weekend. Rigs that sat all winter come back with dead batteries, a generator that won't start, and water lines that weren't drained right. Book a dewinterization before the first trip.
  • Peak summer. Full campgrounds and hot afternoons mean low pedestal voltage, which is hard on air conditioners. See RV AC repair.
  • Closing up. Seasonal sites need winterizing before the first freeze in late October.

Storing near the lake? We work at storage lots along SC-11 in Fair Play, including Regatta Marine and Storage, as long as the facility allows outside service.
