Problems We Diagnose and Fix
Cranks but won't start
Usually fuel. Gas left in the carburetor over the off season turns to varnish and blocks the jets.
Starts, then shuts off
Low oil shutdown, fuel delivery, or a fault the control board is reporting. We read the fault codes first.
Surges or hunts
A partially clogged carburetor or governor problem. Common on units that only run a few times a year.
Runs but no power
Output breaker, brushes, or a voltage regulation fault. We test output under load.
Won't crank at all
Battery, start switch, wiring, or the starter. Often the house battery bank is simply low.
Trips under AC load
We check whether the generator is producing rated output and whether the load is more than it can carry.
Keep It Running
The Cheapest Generator Repair Is Prevention
Generators fail from sitting more than from running. Most manufacturers recommend running the generator under load on a regular schedule, so check the interval in your owner's manual and stick to it. If the rig will sit for months, ask us about fuel treatment and storage prep when we winterize.
We work on generators in motorhomes, toy haulers, fifth wheels, and horse trailer living quarters.
We cover Anderson, Clemson and Seneca, Easley and Pickens, Greenville, and campgrounds around Lake Hartwell on both the South Carolina and Georgia sides.

Questions
Common Questions
Why won't my RV generator start after sitting?
The most common cause is old fuel that has gummed up the carburetor. A carburetor cleaning, fresh fuel, and a load test usually fix it.
How much does RV generator service cost?
Standard service starts at $400 and includes up to four hours of labor. Parts are quoted separately before work begins.
Do you service generators in horse trailers?
Yes. Trailer-mounted and built-in generators in living quarters trailers get the same service as motorhome units.
